The Stroppe Edition Bronco: Return of a Legend

Return of a Legend: The Stroppe Edition Bronco at Kalispell Ford
A piece of off-road racing history is roaring back to life with the Stroppe Edition Ford Bronco. Kalispell Ford has one of the rarest Ford’s ever made, right on the lot.
The Stroppe Edition Bronco pays tribute to legendary racer Bill Stroppe, the man who transformed the original Ford Bronco into a Baja 1000-winning machine. In 1969, behind the wheel of a heavily modified Bronco dubbed the “Baja Bronco,” Stroppe conquered the punishing Baja 1000. That vehicle featured reinforced suspension, a roll cage, upgraded V8, and race-tuned four-wheel drive—a true trail-blazer in off-road racing.
Now, Ford and aftermarket builder Maxlider Brothers Customs have teamed up to revive that legacy with the all-new Stroppe Edition Bronco. This modern reimagining is built on the sixth-generation Bronco platform and comes fully loaded with unique retro graphics, Bilstein position-sensitive dampers, 37-inch tires, a custom steel bumper, and a 400+ horsepower EcoBoost engine tuned for extreme off-road performance. Inside, you’ll find bespoke badging, upgraded materials, and nods to the original Baja Bronco throughout the cabin. Couple all of that with its popping livery and you are sure to stand out amongst the rest. The limited edition Bronco is also the only two-door spec Bronco available for sale and it replaced the WildTrak for 2025.
Only 650 units of the Stroppe Edition Bronco will be produced, making it one of the rarest Bronco variants ever built. It’s a collector’s dream and a trail-conqueror’s weapon.
Kalispell Ford is proud to bring a piece of racing heritage back to the Flathead Valley. If you’re a Bronco enthusiast or just love rare performance builds, this is your chance to own a legend, reborn.
