What Are Your Electric Vehicle Charging Options?

EV charging comes in three main forms. Each offers different speed and convenience depending on your setup and needs:

• Level 1 Charging (120V) – Standard home outlet. Adds 3–5 miles of range per hour. Ideal for plug-in hybrids or overnight top-ups.
• Level 2 Charging (240V) – Common in homes and public charging stations. Delivers 15–30 miles of range per hour. Best for daily driving.
• Level 2&3 Charging – EV chargers have three levels, with level 1 being the slowest and level 2 and 3 being the  fastest way to charge your EV. Level 3 can add up to 100+ miles in roughly 30 minutes, while level 2 can give your vehicle up to 18 miles of range in the same time period. At Kalispell Ford our charging station offers both Level 2 and Level 3 chargers to help you get where you need to go. 

Fast EV Charging at Kalispell Ford

At Kalispell Ford, we’ve installed DC fast chargers on-site to keep your electric vehicle moving fast. Our chargers use the CCS1  adapter, which is compatible with major EV models, including the Ford Mustang, Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and most non-Tesla electric vehicles.

How to Use Our EV Charging station:

1. Drive up and plug in using the high-powered DC connector. Our charging station is on the left corner of the dealership, parallel to the highway. 
2. Authenticate via RFID card, EV Connect app, or touchscreen.
3. Charge rapidly, recover up to 80% range in under an hour.
4. Unplug and go. No waiting, no guessing.

These public EV chargers are available for both Kalispell locals and road-trippers heading through northwest Montana and charge only .48¢ a kWh.

• Charge between 20%–80% for optimal speed and battery health.
• Precondition in winter while connected to power to maintain performance.
