FORD + ALEXA = THE ULTIMATE DUO

Have you heard the news? Ford has teamed up with Amazon’s Alexa and is integrating the voice assistant into 700,000 cars this year.  With the Ford + Alexa Duo can take Alexa with you everywhere you go, on your commute to work, to pick up the kids, and best of all, you can take her on your road trips!  Watch the video below to learn how Ford has teamed up with Alexa.

Not only is Alexa good for answering question but now can perform simple commands in your vehicle while you drive.

Try “Alexa start my car”
Or “Alexa play today’s top hits”
Also “Alexa call mom”
“Alexa what is my estimated time of arrival?

Setting up the Ford + Alexa app to your vehicle

First you must download the Ford + Alexa app on your smartphone.

Next sign in to the app or create an account.

To connect the app to your vehicle make sure your phone is connected through Bluetooth to your vehicle and the Ford + Alexa app is activated on your phone.

Then from your vehicles touch screen click on the app button menu bar shown in the image below.

Swipe to the left and you will see the Ford + Alexa app icon.  Click it.

A pop-up screen will appear asking if you would like to enable the app and if you agree to the terms and conditions.

Once you click yes you will now be ready to use Alexa in your vehicle.

Additionally this feature will be available for Bronco, Edge, F-150, Mustang. Ford will offer a three-year subscription to Amazon Alexa in all the cars, but the owners will be responsible for re-subscribing after that.  For more information talk to one of our knowledgeable Product Specialist at Kalispell Ford.
