2023 Ford Escape
Introducing the 2023 Ford Escape
The all-new 2023 Ford Escape has officially entered the market. This year’s model has not changed much mechanically, however, it did receive a refresh visually. The trims that are now offered in the 2023 Ford Escape are: Base, Active, St-Line, St-Line Select, Platinum, St-Line Elite, and Plug-In Hybrid. The exterior received a much-needed facelift with a headlight and grill refresh. The previous light bar was extended all the way across the top of the grill. As for the grill, it has expanded to a more block-like grill rather than rounded like the 2022 model.
The interior has also gotten a refresh. There is now a 13.3″ touchscreen display, equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. They also moved the climate control buttons that were previously hard buttons to to the screen display. There is also new technology that was added to the Escape. It comes with Ford Co-Pilot 360 technology and FordPass Connect with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Ford Co-Pilot allows you to see around the whole vehicle for extra awareness and safety.
As for what is under the hood, it varies on the trim level that you purchase. The Base, Active, and St-Line trims only come with a front wheel drive, while the other trims come in all wheel drive. You can also get either an EcoBoost or a Hybrid in the St-Line trims and higher. The Plug-In Hybrid comes with a 2.5 L iVCT Atkinson Cycle I-4 Hybrid engine, while the other trims have a 1.5 L EcoBoost engine (unless you choose the models with either or).
